M.I.A.P. (Music Industry Apprenticeship Program) Partnership



L.O.U.D. Series is thrilled to announce our partnership with The Mann Music Center's Music Industry Apprenticeship Program. This program is designed to provide aspiring music industry professionals with real time experience and mentorship from industry leaders. We are excited to be part of this initiative and look forward to helping shape the future of the music industry.

Sound Recording & Music Production
Familiarize students with Logic and/or Protools systems and navigation. Introduce the concept of digital
audio workstations and their role in music production. Assign exercises to create projects and explore different
tracks and regions. Studios then vs now similarities, differences, pros and cons. The history of Sound and
recording studios in Philadelphia and beyond.
Vocal Engineering & Editing
Vocal production techniques, including comping, tuning, and timing adjustments. Teach students how to use
Logic and/or Protools features for vocal editing. Assign a project where students record and edit vocals,
applying vocal production techniques

Instrument Engineering & Editing
Apprentices will learn the fundamentals of engineering, including tuning and editing waves. They will also gain
hands-on experience in instrument editing, sound enhancement and mastering. By the end of the program,
participants will have a better understanding of how to produce high-quality sound recordings.

Effects & Processing
Explore audio effects available in Logic and/or Protools, such as reverb, delay, and compression. Teach students how to use Logic and/ or Protools built-in plugins and third-party plugins. Assign a project where students apply various effects and
processing techniques to enhance a mix.


Mixing & Mastering
Assignments and a final projects where students mix and master a song, applying advanced mixing and mastering techniques.
